Calls for mass participation in the solidarity rally for the Palestinian people on Thursday outside the Israeli Embassy
The Hellenic Committee for International Depression and Peace (EEDYE) calls for mass participation in the rally organized tomorrow, Thursday, May 22, at 7 p.m. at the Israeli Embassy, against the new massacre of the Palestinian people.
"We condemn in the strongest possible terms Israel's new military operation in the Gaza Strip, under the name 'Chariots of Gideon', which comes in addition to the 588 days of fierce and deadly attacks. The consequences of this policy are tragic, with tens of thousands dead and injured, the majority of them civilians – women and children – and with the humanitarian crisis deepening, as aid is prevented and the blockade intensifies.
"The statements of Israeli officials about the complete occupation of Gaza, as well as the cover provided by the US and the EU, confirm the hypocrisy of the so-called international community. At the same time, the Greek government, with the support of all parties that adopt the despicable narrative of Israel's 'right to self-defense', bears enormous responsibility for political complicity and involvement in imperialist plans in the region."
That is why "we are massively participating in the mobilization on Thursday, May 22, at 7 p.m., outside the Israeli Embassy in Athens to express our practical solidarity with the long-suffering Palestinian people and to condemn the criminal policy of Israel, as well as of the Greek government and other bourgeois parties," he stresses.
Finally, it requires:
Freedom in Palestine.
No support for the murderous state of Israel.
Stop now the unacceptable operation aimed at occupying the Gaza Strip.
Recognition of the Palestinian state on the 1967 borders on the basis of UN resolutions.
